Proposition 1

Let $B$ be a contraction of Clemens polytope $S_{{\cal X}}$ of some model $\cal{X}$ of $X$ as in Section 4.2.3, and $\pi$ a Stein map. Then $B^{sm}$ is dense in $B$ .
