The retraction $\rho_{\mathscr{X}}:X^{\an}\rightarrow\Sk(\mathscr{X})$ is an $n$-dimensional affinoid torus fibration over $\Star(\tau_{Z})$. In particular, the integral affine structure induced by $\rho_{\mathscr{X}}$ on the complement of the faces of $\Sk(\mathscr{X})$ of codimension $\geqslant 2$ extends to $\Star(\tau_{Z})$ with no singularities.
