Let $\mathcal{B}^{\prime}$ be the closed sub-algebra generated by the image of $\phi$ of $\mathcal{A}$ in $\mathcal{B}$ and let $\phi^{\prime}:\mathcal{A}\to\mathcal{B}^{\prime}$ be the restricted homomorphism.
