Remark 3.29. This result is first obtained in [CMor18], by using approximation of $\phi$ by model metrics. Here we give another proof. Note that a slight unsatisfactory point of this version of metric extension theorem is that the degree $n_{Y}$ depends a priori on the choice of initial data, the restricted section $t_{1}$. We will remove this dependence in the following sections.
