Theorem 1.1.
Let be a compact projective Calabi-Yau manifold, and let be a big and nef class that is not ample. Then there exist a proper analytic subvariety and a smooth incomplete Ricci-flat Kähler metric on , that depend only on , such that for any smooth path with , the Ricci-flat metrics converge to in the topology on compact sets of . Moreover extends to a closed positive current with continuous potentials on the whole of , which lies in . If , that is if for some line bundle , then is the null locus of and is the pullback of a singular Ricci-flat Kähler metric on a Calabi-Yau model of obtained from the contraction map of .
