Depth-first textbook order
Survey roots first, followed by every nonroot reference layer from deepest to shallowest. Within a layer, collected references precede citing chapters outside explicit mutual-citation groups. Uncollected bibliographies remain unchecked.
| Layer | Chapters | Current positions |
|---|---|---|
| Root survey | 1 | 1–1 |
| Depth 2 | 164 | 2–165 |
| Depth 1 | 80 | 166–245 |
Citation check
217 retained bibliography occurrences checked. All collected references precede their citing chapters outside the one mutual-citation group. Seven formerly avoidable forward citations are fixed. No bibliography edges were removed.
Mutual-citation exception
These chapters cite one another and are placed next to one another:
- Chapter 230: Integral affine structures on spheres and torus fibrations of Calabi-Yau toric hypersurfaces II
- Chapter 231: Limiting behavior of local Calabi-Yau metrics
Haase–Zharkov II cites a 2002 work in preparation; the retained 2003 Zharkov edition cites Haase–Zharkov II. Work-level identity reuse preserves these historical edition questions.
Future updates
The same code handles depth 3, 4 and beyond: roots remain first; all other depths descend. Shared works retain one canonical chapter and their established depth. A shallower reference cited by a deeper paper is reported as a conflict with the depth rule.
Coverage
This order uses collected citations only. Unswept bibliographies, full sources of new chapter records, statement-role follow-up and mathematical prerequisite review remain separate.
