Definition 1.9

Let $f:X\rightarrow B$ be a well-behaved $T^{3}$ -fibration, $b_{0}\in B$ . We say the fibre $X_{b_{0}}$ is of type $(b_{1},b_{2})$ if $b_{i}=\mathop{\rm rank}H^{i}(X_{b_{0}},{\bf Z})$ , $i=1,2$ .
